NISCIA is an olive oil extracted from the
superior quality "cultivar"
Moresca and
Tonda Iblea olives that we grow biologically,
with the support of advanced technologies,
but always in the respect of nature.
Harvesting is carried out by hand, when the
olives reach their correct point of maturity,
and the oil is produced using the traditional "cold press" technique which takes place
within 8/10 hours.
The Mediterranean climate, alongside the use
of modern technology and traditional
harvesting techniques, guarantee this top
quality, healthy product high level
organileptic characteristics (a very low acidity
level, a blend of a slightly sweet and gently
spicy sensation) and grant it an astonishingly
pure flavour.
In addition, this oil contains "polyphenols" which are powerful antioxidants capable
of providing protection against a number
of diseases (stomach aches, gastritis,
atherosclerosis, cholesterol, heart disease etc.).
Experts also claim that a diet rich in olive-oil
favours long-lasting weight loss.
A small amount of this extra-virgin olive oil is sufficient to give your food a rich, powerful flavour.
It is ideal for use on grilled meat and fish, vegetables and salads.
History & Tradition
Our agricultural company has a centennial tradition in growing olives for the production of olive oil in the in Ragusa - Monti Iblei - UNESCO area. In 1993 we introduced the biological, organic agriculture method which we now employ on our terrains.
